En? Wie kent hem nog?! Sommigen denken overigens dat het een ‘ze’ is, maar het is toch echt een jongetje: Wickie de Viking.

And? Who still knows him? Some people think that he’s a ‘she’ by the way, but he really is a boy: Vicky the Viking.

Weer een stukje nostalgie voor mij, puur jeugdsentiment. Heerlijk om te haken. Ik mocht hem proefhaken voor Birdie Haakt, het patroon is binnenkort bij haar verkrijgbaar en tegen die tijd zal ik jullie graag even op de hoogte brengen zodat jullie ook zo’n leuke Wickie kunnen gaan maken.

Another piece of nostalgia, pure youth sentiment. I love to crochet this kind of patterns. I was honored to test this lovely crochet pattern by Birdie Haakt, the pattern will be available by her soon.

Ik heb met deze proefhaakopdracht ook weer een nieuwe steek geleerd! Hoe leuk is dat?! De krokodillensteek, vaak gezien maar nog nooit gehaakt. Heel leuk om die nu ook te kunnen.

De vingertjes was voor mij een behoorlijke uitdaging omdat ik altijd heel strak haak, maar uiteindelijk is het gelukt en je kunt natuurlijk ook gewone handjes haken met alleen een duim. Maar ja, ik wilde persé de vingers, want hee Wickie wrijft juist altijd zo leuk langs zijn neus! Ik geloof dat hij nu ook een idee heeft… Ik ben benieuwd 😉

I also learned a new stitch by this crochet test assignment! How much fun is that?! The crocodilestitch, seen often but never crocheted this one myself. Very nice I learned this one now.

Crocheting his fingers was a big challenge for me as I’m a tight crocheter, so I couldn’t get my crochethook into my work anymore. But finally I have my fingers worked out 😉 You can also make a hand with a thumb but I just really like the way Vicky scrubbing his nose with his finger. I think Vicky has an idea right now… I’m curious about it 😉

cVorige week maakte ik mijn kerstelfje af. Nou ja kerstelfje….. Ik maakte er meer een winterelfje van, al zeg ik het zelf. Ik moet bekennen, ik ben echt wel verliefd op de patronen van Kristi van Sidruns Zoo en mocht al vaker wat Engelstalige patronen voor haar proefhaken. En nu dus deze lieve pop! Mijn allereerste gehaakte pop in mijn hele leven trouwens 🙂

Last week I finished my Christmas Elf. Well, Christmas Elf…. I made more like a winter elf of her 😉

I have to make a confession to you, I really am in love at the patterns of Kristi from Sidruns Zoo and I was able test some of her English patterns sooner. And now this lovely doll! My very first crocheted doll in my whole live by the way 😉

Overigens is er ook een kooppatroon van de jongensvariant van deze kerstelf. Hmmm wel leuk hè om die er nog bij te gaan maken?! 😉 Met kerst alleen is ook maar zo alleen, dus wie weet maak ik nog een leuk vriendje voor haar erbij.

De patronen zijn zeer uitgebreid dus goed te volgen, overal zitten wel foto’s van bij. Een echte aanrader vind ik dit patroon in ieder geval.

Hmmmm wouldn’t it be lovely to make her a nice boyfriend?! 😉 No-one should be allone with Christmas, so maybe I’ll make her a sweet boyfriend for Christmas.

The patterns are very extended with clear pictures, so it’s easy to follow. Anyway, I can really recommend this pattern to you.
